The Barrie Jr Sharks are once again partnering with the Shoebox project to provide essentials to women in need. Please join us at the Jr Sharks game on December 1 to support this important cause.
Sunday, December 1st is the designated Jr Sharks event inviting all our players, families, community members, and fans to join us in collecting and donating gift-filled shoeboxes for women who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Shoeboxes can be dropped off at East Bayfield Community Centre during the Jr Sharks game.

About the Shoebox Project for Women:
The Shoebox Project for Women has a profound impact by providing gift-filled shoeboxes, each worth around $50 in essential and comforting items, to women, girls, Indigenous, and gender-diverse individuals in need. This inclusive initiative reminds recipients that they are seen, valued, and supported by the community. The Shoebox Project is a Canada-Wide Registered Charity, with a local chapter that helps the local recipients directly. It goes beyond meeting immediate needs—it uplifts and encourages those facing significant challenges. They will be accepting donations until Sunday, December 8th. After the collection period, all donations will be sorted and distributed to those in need.
