BWHA 2025-2026 DEVELOPMENT STREAM COACHING APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
The BWHA is dedicated to nurturing skill building and a love for hockey in aspiring athletes through our Development Stream (DS) program. We provide a supportive environment where players can refine their skills, build confidence, and embrace their passion for the game. Our mission is to prepare players for higher levels of competition while instilling values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
Built on three foundational values, the BWHA DS hockey program prioritizes Skill Development, Coaching Excellence and Mentorship, and a Progressive Learning Pathway. We focus on enhancing fundamental hockey skills through structured training sessions and drills, ensuring our coaches are equipped with knowledge and mentorship to support player development effectively. Our Progressive Learning Pathway accommodates players of all levels, fostering continuous growth and advancement to bridge the gap throughout their hockey journey.
Applications for the BWHA 2025-2026 Development Stream (DS) programs are now open! We are seeking coaching candidates for our U11, U13, U15, and U18 divisions. You don't need to be a House League coach to apply. If you are interested, complete the application form and send it to: youthhouseleague@bwha.ca by June 30, 2025.

The OWHA defines the minimum certification requirements for coaches and assistant coaches, for each age group and competitive level. Please review the OWHA’s Coaching Requirements.
