The fees for BWHA competitive teams are broken into two parts: ASSOCIATION FEES and TEAM FEES.
TEAM FEES
Each team sets a budget which covers team-specific items for the season. This budget is divded equally by all players through the payment of Team Fees which are collected directly by the team. Team fees typically include:
- Additional ice time and referees planned for exhibition games and/or playoffs
- Additional ice time and instructors for planned team development activities
- Practice jerseys, practice socks, and team practice equipment
- Administration costs, such as game sheet labels and banking fees
Each team will present a full team budget to parents for approval in May/June. The payment schedule for Team Fees will be set by the team.
ASSOCIATION FEES
Association fees are paid directly by each player to the BHWA. These are the fees paid through the BWHA’s online registration system. Your association fees cover the basic and common expenses for each team, including:
- Base ice allocated to each team (75-110 hours, depending on category and level)
- Base referee assignments (17 home games)
- Use of competitive team jerseys for the season, and two pairs of game socks for each player
- OWHA and league registration costs and insurances
- Association overhead and administrative costs.
