2025-2026 House League Pre-Season Information
Pre-Season Development Skates:
Designed to reintroduce players to hockey, and to get players moving again before the season begins. Coaches will be on the ice with the players for the pre-skates and will conduct a series of drills, skills and fun. Players in each division will be split into two groups for these sessions, which will be led by division coaches and other volunteers. Upon arrival, please check in at the table in each arena.
All players must wear all required equipment. Don’t forget a water bottle! Players should arrive with sufficient time to get dressed and be ready to go on the ice at the start of their session.
Players should bring their own jerseys and socks, if you have them. If you do not have a jersey, we will have a limited number available for loan. You will be required to provide a $20.00 deposit to use these jerseys. Unfortunately, socks are not available for loan.
Please note: After teams are created, all players are provided with a team jersey and socks.
Please see the specific division schedules below for the Pre-Season development skates. Additional information on how players will be divided between the two sessions will be updated when registration numbers are confirmed.
Evaluation Skates:
These skates are critical to ensuring our house league teams are balanced and equal, and therefore are mandatory for all players. Please see the division specific schedules below.
Team Assignment: Following the Evaluation Skates, players will be assigned to teams, and parents will be contacted by the team coach with information about the start of the season.
First Team Practice: The first team practices will be scheduled for the weekend of September 20 & 21. A full season schedule will be provided to each team once they are assigned.
First Game: The game schedule will differ for each team, with some playing a first game on the first weekend, and others waiting until the following.

U9 Note: Please note that as per the Hockey Canada Pathway, there are no designated goalies at this age group. If your player is a goalie she should come dressed to these skates as a player. This is specific to the pre-skates and the evaluations in order to balance teams appropriately. Goalies will be able play the position throughout the year. We encourage all U9 players to play all positions, including goalie, throughout the season.
