We will be evaluating skaters and goalies on ice for the following core competencies;

- Puck control Shooting/passing

- Positioning (Hockey IQ, Desire, Competitiveness)

- Work ethic and Attitude

After each tryout, a list of players (by their registration Tryout ID) will be posted on the BWHA U13A/BB team site indicating players that have been asked back to the next tryout. If a player’s registration Tryout ID is NOT listed, they are encouraged to attend the U13BB/B tryouts.

The final 2025 -2026 roster will comprise 15 skaters and 2 goalies.

TEAM STAFF: Once the team has been selected, we will finalize key roles that include our Team Manager, Assistant Coaches, Trainers and a Treasurer.

PLAYER POSITIONS: While we appreciate player and parent position preferences, please note that the coaching staff will have the option of modifying players positions before and during the upcoming season.

TEAM EXPECTATIONS: The 2025/2026 season will officially begin late August, with pre-season activities. The season schedule will consist of 2 practices per week, with additional sessions dedicated to development nights. In addition, we will be looking to enter 4 or 5 tournaments (Non-US Showcase tournaments), all of which will be in Ontario.  Team budget outlines have not yet been completed, but we are forecasting approximately $3500 per player for the 2025/2026 season. Families may be called upon for sponsorship and organize fundraising activities in an effort to offset these costs and to support the team.
