Welcome to Barrie Sharkfest!
Our U22AA Elite Barrie Jr Sharks will be staffing the "control rooms" at each arena, so if you have any questions, please feel free to find them and ask. Please remember that these players are teenagers and should be treated with respect and courtesy.
If you are interested in having your games streamed, our Jr Sharks streamer, Josh McCann, is available. Please reach out to him directly if your team is interested ([email protected] / 705-896-2196).
Issues throughout the weekend can be directed to [email protected] and we will respond from there.
Thank you for attending Sharkfest and good luck!

Reminders!
- Please make sure to complete your Ramp sign-in's well before your team takes the ice for warmup.
- No air horns are permitted inside any of the arenas, please ask your parents to leave them at home.
- No music is to be played other than in the dressing rooms. Please have respect for other people using the facilities in regards to volume levels and the types of music being played.
- Games can start up to 15 minutes early (we will not start the first games earlier than the scheduled times).
- Jersey colours will be the same as the new OWHA rules for this season (dark jerseys for home teams and light jerseys for visiting teams).
- Flood times may be different for those teams playing 15-15-15 games (U13AA, U15A, U18A, U18BB) ... your team should be notified prior to the start of your game when you're flood should be occurring. All other divisions will play 10-10-12 and will have floods at the end of each game (just like the regular season).
- Warmup will be 3-minutes and will be added to the start of the first period (so 13-minutes on the clock for 10-10-12 games and 18-minutes for 15-15-15 games). The clock will not stop once warmup begins until the first stoppage of play. Any team not prepared to start the game on time following the 3-minute warmup period will be assessed a bench minor for delay of game.
- No timeouts are permitted in round-robin play (only permitted in elimination games).
- Run time can occur in any game throughout the tournament when a 5-goal spread is reached (must decrease score to a 3-goal differential before stop time resumes). If penalties happen during run time, the clock will switch to stop time to accommodate the penalty and will resume to run time once the penalty is over.
