The Barrie Women’s Hockey Association is saddened to share the passing of Coach John Cotugno on Saturday, July 23, 2023.
John was a dedicated volunteer in our hockey community over the past 20 years, and most recently as a U18 competitive team head coach for the past 3 years and the upcoming 2023-24 season. The father of 3 daughters, John also cared for all of his players like an extended family and brought a kind, supportive attitude and a smile to every practice and game. The Barrie Sharks will be forever grateful for the positive experiences Coach John provided to so many of our players over the years.
